Andrea Wenger, MAHA

Andrea Wenger, MAHA, is a Sound Healer, Usui Reiki Master Teacher, and ongoing student of the spiritual healing arts. She holds a BA in Community Nutrition/Dietetics and a master’s degree in Applied Healing Arts from Tai Sophia Institute/MUIH. She also completed the Institute for Integrative Nutrition program; studied sound healing with Edie Jemiola, Patricia Norton, and Tom Kenyon; and has nearly 10 years of individual and group training on spiritual and vibrational healing with Ed Rothwell of the Thunderboom Institute. An array of additional workshops, retreats and life experiences have contributed immensely to Andrea’s development as a master healer. When not learning or serving in that capacity, you might find her wandering the wooded trails of Maine, gardening, swimming, or cooking up a locally-sourced dish of organic goodness.

Greetings!

My name is Andrea Wenger, and it is my joy to guide you to break free from limitation, increase your vibration, and create a life of passion and joy in alignment with nature and your soul’s calling.  My healing work flows from my own life journey. I have been breaking free for many years from thoughts of not being good enough, fears of what others think, seeking approval and validation outside myself, religious programming, … and the list goes on.
Before I stumbled into yoga and Reiki nearly 20 years ago, I was solidly on my career path as a dietitian, and personally struggling with the insidious fallout from childhood emotional trauma. Codependent patterns of people-pleasing and rescuing others were deeply ingrained and would periodically lead to feeling disconnected and emotionally distraught.
I have joked that Reiki was my “gateway drug” that opened the door to a vast array of resources and support I never knew existed. As I began exploring the alternative healing world for my own healing, my nutrition work was also undergoing a metamorphosis. Feeling burned out and ineffective as a nutritionist within the healthcare system, I stumbled upon the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) twice in about 6 months. Taking a leap back into the student seat with this cutting-edge program was a breath of fresh air and guided me to an approach that felt more like “home” in the nutrition world.
I moved to a private practice in Holistic Nutrition Coaching, breaking free from the prescriptive paradigm of conventional nutrition to instead empower my clients to listen to their bodies and find what worked well for them. Meanwhile, I was exploring acupuncture, craniosacral therapy, Alexander Technique, Qi Gong, Theta Healing, Zero Balancing, sound healing, and shamanism. These modalities (and more) all played a role in my gently breaking free from the layers of trauma and conditioning which distorted my vision of myself, reality and what was possible for my life and the world.

About the same time I found the IIN program, I also discovered Tai Sophia Institute (now Maryland University of Integrative Health) and their graduate program in Applied Healing Arts. I was drawn like a magnet, despite not having a desire to seek another degree. My time at Tai Sophia widened my world and deepened my work in ways I couldn’t have imagined, and I enjoy sharing with my clients the many truths and simple daily practices I learned which have made a profound difference in my own life.
My time at Tai Sophia also re-awakened my passion for music and singing. This led to sound healing training, letting go of the stories I had created about myself around singing, and taking steps to incorporate sound into my work with clients. By this time, I had become a Reiki Master and was already incorporating it into my work, particularly when clients had emotional issues related to their eating patterns.
Eventually, healing with Reiki and toning with crystal singing bowls emerged as what I was most passionate to share with others. These modalities have supported me in shedding layers of “shoulds,” perfectionism and external pressures, in order to connect with and embody my most authentic self, and to trust my own connection to Source.
One fundamental principle of alternative and holistic healing modalities is that the emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of our being actually inform and shape the physical body like a blueprint. I have always been drawn to things of a spiritual nature, and understanding the psycho-emotional aspects of my own struggles was a game-changer: from frustration, stuckness and spinning my wheels in the same old patterns, to realizing my own power to shift thoughts, nurture myself, and choose my responses in any given situation.
Working at these non-physical levels — the root causes of dis-ease in the physical body — eventually emerged as what lights me up and became the focus of my practice. Reiki, sound and quantum energy provide a bridge between the spiritual and physical bodies, allowing for deeper and more lasting healing than addressing physical symptoms alone.
In most of the circles I find myself in, this meta-physical mindset (meta meaning beyond) is the common accepted understanding of how the world works. However, in many circles, these concepts are still considered “woo-woo” or at least held with a dose of skepticism. I have come to realize I have a foot in each of those worlds and serve as a wayshower to those who are ready to explore a wider perspective, or go deeper on their journey.
Is it time for you to break free?!
I would be honored to be your guide.

What people are saying...

"Thank you so much for creating the Sacred Stillpoint Sound Immersion!

I have really enjoyed using the recording and it has made an amazing difference in the quality and quantity of my sleep -- these are the first nights that I have been able to sleep soundly since the pandemic started.

It has cleared toxins out of my body. I've lost almost 2 pounds and haven't changed my diet and haven't exercised. I don't have a lot to lose, but I'd been feeling like my digestion was slow.

Using the recording has improved my day-to-day because I feel better physically, I am more efficient, and even more creative.

Your voice is always so angelic. Thank you!"

"I had no idea what to expect from my first session with Andrea. Since Covid had forced us inside, we were relegated to a distant session through Zoom, which honestly I was a bit skeptical about as I had heard there could be distortions through that platform.

Boy was I blown away by the soul bath I had! Andrea used her beautiful voice, some singing bowls and her highly intuitive ability to make my session deeply healing and unique.

It was like floating on a cloud of love, vaguely aware I was still in my living room! Since radical care of body and spirit is so imperative these days, I found Andrea's guidance, technique and integrity exactly what I needed.

Can't wait to have another session!"

"After being drafted into the US Army, I returned from a year of heavy jungle warfare with severe PTSD.

VA Mental Health is a worthless disgrace, so I seek healing in the community. I was fortunate to discover Andrea’s Sound Healing sessions.

They are amazingly rejuvenating and help immensely with keeping me from feeling alienated.

The vibrations of Andrea’s magical bowls and angelic voice wash away the trauma and reconnect me with what is loving about humanity."
